Electronics I
ENGPHYS 3BA4
In this course I learned how many different electronic components worked including diodes, comparators, timers, and more. I also learned how to take to take analog signals and turn them into an analog output. This can be seen in the final design project where me and my lab partner made an ultrasonic range finder. This was made to measure distances between 10 cm and 99 cm within +/- 1 cm.

Solid State Physics
ENGPHYS 3F03
Solid state physics explains the properties solid materials. I gained a base understanding of many topics including crystal structures and its relation to latices, electronic, and thermal properties of materials. Using this knowledge I got to explore on of the many applications of solid state physics, the superconducting qubit used in quantum computing. My final paper gives an outline of the topic, how quantum computing and qubits work, and why superconducting qubits are beneficial to the future of quantum computing.
